How can I book?

I welcome all enquiries via email, or direct message on Instagram (@juliabarneslens). Together we can work out what kind of session is best for you and take it from there!

What do I need to pay, and when?

A £30 deposit will be taken at the point of booking. The remaining balance will be due within 7 days after your photoshoot. Your gallery can be released once the balance is paid in full - think of it as the final key to unlock your beautiful images!

What is your cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel 14 days or more before your session, your deposit can be refunded. If cancellation happens within 14 days, your deposit becomes non-refundable (I promise it's not personal, it just helps cover time and planning). 

What shall I wear?

This depends on what kind of feeling you're trying to create with your images, and if you have an idea or inspiration in mind I would love to discuss that with you! In general, I advise:
- Co-ordinating colours in soft neutrals - eg. beige/cream, pale blue, sage, brown. Think complementary colours rather than matching one-another exactly. 
- Keep clothes comfy and free of large logos or distracting prints. 
- Bring a spare outfit for little ones!

Can I bring inspiration photos?

Short answer - yes! But if there are styles and poses you like it's helpful to discuss them with me at the point of booking so that we can plan for a suitable location. 

This is our first time having photos taken - any hints and tips?

First-time nerves are normal, and it's only naturall to feel awkward in front of the camera at first. It's my job to gently prompt and direct you and your little ones so that I can capture natural expressions and document real moments. 

Consider bringing meaningful props to your shoot - eg. a scan photo, comfort item, blankets or books. 

For little ones, it can be helpful to bring non-messy snacks to keep those smiles coming (I can bring the wet wipes!)
